Commitment to Action
Clinton Global Initiative
The Saint Rock Haiti Foundation (SRHF) was selected for the Clinton Global Initiative’s (CGI) 2025 Commitment-Maker cohort. Formally presented by CEO Dr. Jocelyn Bresnahan and Country Director Dr. Jean Kenes Eloy, our ambitious three-year Commitment to Action is an integrated, community-driven healthcare model designed to protect and save the lives of over 10,000 women and newborns.
This life-saving initiative tackles the maternal health crisis in Haiti, a country that has the highest maternal mortality in the western hemisphere. Over the next three years, we are establishing two Maternal Waiting Homes linked to public hospitals to provide 24/7 care and critical ambulance transport for more than 800 high-risk pregnancies annually. Simultaneously, we are equipping our health centers with dedicated OB/GYN care, deploying community health workers to monitor 1,200 women in remote areas, and training a vital network of traditional birth attendants (matrones) to facilitate 1,500 safer home births each year.
