Please join us as we celebrate Courage in Action. This year we are focusing on maternal child health. The funds we raise will continue to support the overall mission of the Saint Rock Haiti Foundation (SRHF). The Saint Rock Haiti Foundation has been committed to supporting the people of Saint Rock, Haiti, for over 20 years, since 2002. Our annual gala is our most important fundraiser of the year. Sponsorships are vital to ensuring a successful event. Thank you for being a partner in this important work.

We are happy to announce that Regina Tsanotelis, RN, a dedicated pillar of the Saint Rock community since 2010, has been selected as this year’s Dr. Stephen Bresnahan Award recipient. A Boston-based oncology nurse, she continues to lead as co-chair of the SRHF Nursing Sub-committee and as a member of the Clinical Practice Committee. Her unwavering commitment perfectly embodies the spirit of this award.

Can’t make it to the gala? You can support SRHF by making a donation in Regina’s honor by clicking on the button here.

Dreams of the Ancestral Drum by Charlot Lucien

Dimensions: 18" x 22"

Dreams of the Ancestral Drum

By Charlot Lucien

This evocative 2012 work captures the rhythmic soul and spiritual heritage of Haiti. Through vibrant colors and fluid lines, Charlot Lucien depicts the profound connection between the drummer and the drum—viewed here as a vital vessel of history, resistance, and ancestral memory.

This is a professionally framed giclée reproduction of the original painting on canvas, measuring 18" x 22".

Lucien is a renowned Haitian-American artist, poet, and storyteller based in Massachusetts. Notably, this specific painting was selected as the cover art for the scholarly book "The Unfinished Revolution: Haiti, Black Sovereignty and Power in the Nineteenth-Century Atlantic World" by Dr. Karen Salt (2019), making it a significant piece of both visual and literary history.

In her acknowledgments, Dr. Salt offered this tribute: “I must thank the brilliant Charlot Lucien, whose work appeared in my life and within the life of this book, at a critical moment. I am honoured to include your craft."
